I think the book was better than its predecessor, Nightfall; there In the months preceding the release of Shadow Souls, I read the teasers that were available online and was excited by the tension and angst in the interplay between Damon and Elena. What has happened to you, L. Damon Influenced him to go away. I might read the next one, but if I start it and it goes like this book did, I probably won't read it either. Reading the Return series for the first time as an adult, I don't have that rosy affection for it that I h I couldn't make it past page 283.
Will Elena realize who her heart really belongs to? So I assume — well, what Damon assumes. Elena will stop at nothing to free Stefan. Stefan is imprisioned, and only Elena can set him free by finding the hidden halves of the kitsune key to his cell. I thought Damon had lost all of his charm in Nightfall, but again, I underestimated just how bad it could really get. But otherwise, completely great novel. A militant optimist, she is also part of the Velociraptor Sisterhood a fancy way of saying that she likes to read, write and discuss books with strong female characters , and she has traveled extensively in Europe and the Far East. That said, it could be that, unlike many readers, Damon never held any charms for me.
Please redeem yourself, Miss L. Yet with each passing day the tension between Elena and Damon grows, and she is faced with a terrible decision: Which brother does she really want? In order to find him, she entrusts her life to Stefan's brother, Damon Salvatore, the handsome but deadly vampire who wants Elena, body and soul. Stefan reminded me a lot of Eward Cullen, with the controlling quality, the brooding quality, and the Oh-woe-is-me-my-life-sucks-I'll-kill-my-girlfriend quality. Cum sociis natoque penatibus et magnis dis parturient montes, nascetur ridiculus mus. From this book, I have learnt that a good book, is cunning but has sublte clues towards the twis If you have read the previous Vampire Diaries and have for some unknown reason not completly been swoon by the charming rogue that is Damon Salvatore, then by the end of Shadow Souls, i grantee you will be. The dialogue was childish and the description was incoherent. Damon has never concealed his love for Elena, and as the tension between them rises, Elena must face a terrible decision: which brother does she really want to be with? In the months preceding the release of Shadow Souls, I read the teasers that were available online and was excited by the tension and angst in the interplay between Damon and Elena.
Please realize that last sentence is filled with sarcasm. Congratulations, you've made the final step down from novelist to fanfic writer. Damon is the only thing that interests me and i'm curious as to what Caroline will birth, since Smith only hit the tip of the iceburg with her situation. And don't even get me started on Elena! Also, the very unexpected ending will leave readers quite literally begging for the final instalment. She could only whimper and try to endure.
I always have a Plan A. So maybe I deserved what I got. I bought the original series--the trilogy--when they were first published. I loveee Damon and Elena together! Shadow Souls is truly awful, and I thought nothing could be worse than Nightfall. Yes, definitely that's true love right there.
Which means I will suffer through the next wretched book she produces, too. Flowers' parts, skipped over those without a second thought. I didn't feel it was necessary to have that in the book, she could have waited until the last book to put that story plot in and explained it a little better, because it seemed to move way too fast and with little notice. And Matt secretly goes back to Fells Church. I read through this book in 3 days and have to admit that I quite enjoyed myself. The Dark Dimension story plot with the kitsune keys was fascinating.
I wanted to see more of Bonnie and Meredeth, who at least had some redeeming quality's, I was hoping there would be some development between Damon and Bonnie. And after hearing how Sage had saved Damon from the mob that ambushed him on the way to the Meeting Place, she had determined in her own mind that if Sage ever wanted her blood, she would give it to him unhesitatingly. Elena Gilbert is once again at the center of magic and danger beyond her imagining. Is no one editing these books? No more Mary Sue characters, I beg of you! It was hard to even get into it. This book is bad, so very bad.
Shadow Souls The Vampire Diaries: The Return, 2 Elena Gilbert's love, the vampire Stefan Salvatore, has been captured and imprisoned by demonic spirits who are wreaking havoc in Fell's Church. This book made me so sad. Shadow Souls is truly awful, and I thought nothing could be worse than Nightfall. I'm happy with my purchase. They hastily try to follow Elena and warn her - only to be caught up in Elena's most dangerous adventure yet. In case you missed it the first 4 times it was mentioned. I just got so confused.
As disguise, the girls become Damon's slave. After that, a ghostwriter took over the rest of the series. I just used them — for popularity, for amusement, for whatever. I think what happened is something more personal for Damon. This book was one of my favorites in the series. While her friends Bonnie and Meredith explore the evil that has taken over their town, Elena goes in search of Stefan. So powerful that they used malach, which are really plants but look like insects that can be no bigger than a pinhead or big enough to swallow your arm.
I couldn't make it past page 283. I'd prefer to watch every episode of The Wiggles back to back. While her friends Bonnie and Meredith explore the evil that has taken over their town, Elena goes in search of Stefan. Seriously- have read fan fiction that was better. He's good at repressing things that he thinks are going to hurt him, but he can't hide the thing that hurts him the most, Elena.
